About WROR-TV

WROR-TV is the student television and broadcast journalism program at Oviedo High School in Oviedo, Florida. Its daily production, Oviedo Daily, is created for the school community by student editors, producers, reporters, writers, designers and studio crew.
The program
Student journalism on screen.
Oviedo Daily is a prerecorded school news broadcast produced through Oviedo High School Journalism. The program covers campus news, announcements, student life, features and stories connected to the Oviedo community while giving students hands-on experience in reporting, writing, editing, studio production and visual storytelling.
WROR-TV has earned recognition in state and national scholastic journalism competition. The program's work has been recognized by organizations including the National Scholastic Press Association, Student Television Network and Florida Scholastic Press Association.
Program history
From video yearbook to Oviedo Daily.
Oviedo High School's Television Production class began with the production of a video yearbook.
A studio was added on campus, and the first WROR TV episode aired to the school on October 16, 1995.
The program joined Student Television Network and began competing at its national convention.
WROR-TV became an NSPA Broadcast Pacemaker-winning program and continued earning state and national recognition.
Students produce Oviedo Daily and continue the program's broadcast journalism tradition for the Oviedo High School community.
